Devin, she may have spelled science wrong, but it's 'spelled' not 'spelt'. Glad you both had a time to get away and relax. It's sounded like fun.

Kirsten, I'm not picky. By the way you missed a question mark on the end of your sentence "and what's with Devin being so picky". I had to save face after I lost in the science quiz, and the only way I know how to do that is to be condescending. I blame bad parenting. I'm joking mom, doni't get upset.

much to my chagrin, i believe that both "spelled" and "spelt" are acceptable spellings of the past/past participle of spell. i really dislike the way the "lt" looks as opposed to the "lled".
so, Devin, whilst you lost the science quiz, you actually did ok in the spelling test. perhaps you didn't get such bad parenting after all...
